One of hottest youngsters in film today, Kate Hudson is Hollywood royalty. The daughter of super-couple Goldie Hawn and non-biological father Kurt Russell, Kate displays the same bubbly personality, captivatingly good looks and natural talent of her award-winning mother. Growing up in the world already aware of the expectations demanded from any star actor, Kate still decided to pursue her dream of being an actress despite the awful tales of the business she was expose to. Kate graduated from the Crossroads School of Arts and Sciences and was shortly accepted to New York University's renowned Tisch School of Drama when she was required to put school on hold due to her already growing film career.
Starting off as a guest star on the TV show "Party of Five" in 1996, Kate's cameo lasted only one show before her character was given the ax. She immediately moved on to film, appearing in a number of independent features and small mainstream films like MTV's "200 Cigarettes" before landing the memorable role as Penny Lane in "Almost Famous." Her performance in Crowe's rock tale garnered her with praise, earning the Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for Breakthrough Performance, the Golden Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture and the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. In 1999, Kate was named as one of People's 50 Most Beautiful Women and married her longtime beau on January 1st, 2001. While Kate has mostly appeared in romantic comedies since then, she has the skills that have film producers on their knees begging for more.
